Premium Moscow - St Petersburg

Itinerary

The Premium Moscow - St Petersburg tour is the ideal way to see the highlights of Russia’s two greatest cities within a 7-day window. With two trips planned in Moscow and a further two in St Petersburg you will see all the main sights and some lesser known gems.

Moscow is a city of contrasts: It has the highest density of billionaires, is the world’s most populated inland city and boasts six out of Europe’s ten tallest buildings. Every year up to five million foreign tourists travel there to find that it is an enjoyable and friendly place and melting pot where culture, history and the future mix with the present day. From Red Square and the Kremlin to the Cold War Bunker, there is much to excite and enjoy in Moscow.

St. Petersburg is often considered to be the most culturally Western city in Russia. However, it would be wrong to assume that this denies travellers an authentic Russian experience. On the contrary, St. Petersburg is the epicentre of the nation’s art and culture and is the place that gave birth to some of those who made the country into what it is today, from Ivan Pavlov and Vladimir Nabokov to Vladimir Putin.

Monday Day 1 - Arrival in Moscow

St. Basil's Cathedral

Upon arrival in the Russian capital, you will be greeted at your point of arrival by a private transfer and escorted to a 3* hotel in the centre of the lively Moscow. Once you have had a chance to get settled in and store your luggage, you will have the rest of the day to explore some of the sights and sounds of this vibrant city. The city of Moscow is the home to some of Russia’s greatest treasures, and some more hidden than others. With that in mind, why not pay a visit to the elaborately decorated Metro stations around the city. Alternatively, if you are interested in Moscow’s unique landscape, why not take a cruise along the picturesque Moskva River. Real Russia can supply both excursions, as well as many others.
