Day 1 - Arrival in Moscow

St. Basil's Cathedral

Welcome to the legendary capital of Russia - Moscow! Your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your centrally located hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free to relax in your cozy room, dine in one of the nearby restaurants or start exploring the amazing city center on your own. No meals included.

Day 2 - Visiting Vladimir & Bogolyubovo

After breakfast you check out from your hotel. Your private driver picks you up at your hotel in Moscow and takes you to Vladimir. Upon arrival you meet your guide and enjoy a wonderful sightseeing tour. During your tour around Vladimir you go inside the Dormition Cathedral that preserves the world famous frescoes of Andrei Rublev, explore the architectural complex of the Cathedral of St. Dimitriy and visit the Museum of Crystal, Lacquer Miniatures and Embroidery. Your tour then continues to Bogolyubovo, a town located in the outskirts of Vladimir meaning “loved by God” in Russian. This ancient town was founded in 1158 by order of prince Andrey Bogolyubsky. According to a legend, the prince spent the night on this spot and saw Virgin Mary who ordered him to found the settlement and build a monastery. During the tour you get to see the main UNESCO sites of the area: the Church of the Intervention, the ruins of Prince Bogolyubsky’s castle with its Staircase Tower, the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin and the Church of the Intercession on the Nerl. After lunch at a local restaurant your driver takes you to Suzdal that is one of the most famous towns of the Golden Ring. Upon arrival you are transferred to your hotel for check-in. In the evening you enjoy dinner at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.

Day 3 - Touring Suzdal & Kostroma

Following breakfast, you check out from the hotel and meet your guide in the hotel lobby. Today you enjoy a sightseeing tour of Suzdal known as a city-museum of the Golden Ring for a large number of preserved historical monuments of ancient Russian art and architecture. During the tour, you see the brilliant architectural complex of the Kremlin, explore the ensemble of the Monastery of Saint Euthymius and visit the famous Museum of Wooden Architecture. You are then transferred to the historic city of Kostroma built at the confluence of the Volga and Kostroma Rivers. Upon arrival, you enjoy lunch in a local restaurant followed by a guided city tour that includes a visit to the architectural complex of the Ipatiev Monastery. Later your driver takes you to your final destination of this day - Yaroslavl. Upon arrival, you are transferred to your centrally located hotel for overnight. In the evening you enjoy dinner at your hotel. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Day 4 - Exploring Yaroslavl & Sergiev Posad

Today after breakfast you explore one of the oldest Russian cities - Yaroslavl. During your guided city tour you explore the Spassky Monastery where you see the icon Transfiguration of the Savior, visit the wonderful Church of Elijah the Prophet with incredible mosaic decoration, and participate in a costumed reception at the governor's house. After lunch at a local restaurant your driver takes you to Sergiev Posad known as "Russian Vatican" for its magnificent blue and golden cupolas scattered all around the town. Upon arrival you enjoy a wonderful sightseeing tour around the most cherished treasures of Sergiev Posad, that includes a visit to the spiritual center of Russian Orthodoxy - the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius. After the tour you are transferred to your hotel in Moscow. Upon arrival you check-in and have the rest of the day at your leisure. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Day 5 - Exploring the Kremlin, Armoury Chamber & the Heart of Moscow

This day is dedicated to the exploration of one of the most outstanding Moscow icons - the Kremlin and the heart of Moscow - the Red Square. Following breakfast, you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and walk to the Kremlin territory where you have a chance to explore the gems hidden behind the Kremlin walls such as the Cathedral Square and the Assumption and Annunciation cathedrals. Then you visit the famous Armoury Chamber that houses a unique collection of crown jewels, stunning coronation finery, hand-forged armor and weapons, royal carriages and sleighs, and world-famous Faberg? eggs. After a short break for coffee, you take a walk through the beautiful Red Square, go inside the colorful St. Basil's Cathedral and explore the famous GUM department store. After the tour, you walk back to your hotel and have the rest of the day free. Breakfast is included.

Day 6 - Tretyakov Gallery & Moscow Subway Tour

Following breakfast, you check out from your hotel and enjoy a guided tour of the world-famous treasure trove of the Russian fine art, the Tretyakov Gallery, where you have amazing time viewing the gems of its collection, including the famous masterpieces of Ivan Aivazovsky, Mikhail Vrubel, and Viktor Vasnetsov. After the tour of the Tretyakov Gallery, you see the spectacular Cathedral of Christ the Savior and learn the story of its destruction and reconstruction. Today you also have a chance to enjoy one of the best city views at Sparrow Hills and see the grand building of Moscow State University, the highest of seven Stalinist skyscrapers of Moscow. After the tour, you are transferred to the train station where you board an overnight train that takes you to Kazan in comfort and safety (2nd class train tickets included). Breakfast is included.

Day 7 - Kazan Sightseeing Tour & Visit to the Kremlin

Following breakfast, you then enjoy a panoramic city tour around the most prominent attractions of Kazan, including the Old Tatar Quarter, the Marjani Mosque, the scenic Kaban Lakes, the Millennium Park and Freedom Square. You are then in for a little surprise. Your lunch program includes a cooking master class where you learn how to make 3 traditional Tatar dishes. After lunch, you explore the historical ensemble of the Kazan Kremlin. During the tour, you see the main treasures of the complex, including one of the largest mosques in Russia - the Qol Sharif Mosque, the leaning Soyembika Tower, the Annunciation Cathedral and the Governor's Palace. After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Day 8 - Day Tour to Bolgar

Today after breakfast you meet your guide and driver to go on a day trip. Together you head to the outskirts of Kazan to see the outstanding Bolgar Historical and Archaeological Complex located in the Spassky District. This historical and archeological site is set on the left bank of the Volga River about 140 km from Kazan and is a well-known UNESCO World Heritage Site. The complex includes the remains of the medieval city of Bolgar, which was the first capital of the Golden Horde in the 13th century. Bolgar is an early settlement of the Volga-Bolgars civilization that existed between the 7th and 15th centuries AD. During the tour you get to see the main sights of the complex including the Bolgar ancient settlement. You are treated to lunch onsite and get to visit the Museum of the Bolgar Civilization and enter the White Mosque (entrance tickets included). After the tour your driver takes you back to your hotel in Kazan. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Day 9 - Flight to St. Petersburg

Following breakfast you check out from the hotel and meet your driver, who takes you to the Kazan airport for your flight to St. Petersburg - Russia's beautiful cultural capital, often referred to as the "Venice of the North". The duration of your flight is about 2 hours. Upon arrival you are met by your driver and taken to your centrally located hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Breakfast is included.

Day 10 - Tour of the Hermitage Museum & Saint Isaac's Cathedral

Following breakfast, you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and walk to the legendary Hermitage Museum, that houses its unique collection of world art, including the masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, El Greco, Francisco Goya and Thomas Gainsborough in the halls of the Winter Palace. You then cross the Palace square to enter the General Staff Building which houses Hermitage's superb collection of Modern European Art, primarily consisting of the world-famous French impressionist and post-impressionist paintings. After a short break for coffee, you explore the Palace Square, admire the Admiralty building and have a walk through the Alexander Garden to the Bronze Horseman, an equestrian statue of Peter the Great. As yet another highlight of the day, you have a tour of the magnificent St. Isaac's Cathedral, which is known to be the second tallest Orthodox church in the world. After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free. Breakfast is included.

Day 11 - St. Petersburg City Tour

After breakfast, you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go on an amazing panoramic city tour around the most cherished gems of St. Petersburg with your private driver. You start the day with a drive along the Nevsky prospect, Russian Empire’s main avenue where you can admire the Kazan Cathedral. You then proceed to the Arts Square and explore its beautiful ensemble including the Mikhailovsky Palace and the Mikhailovsky Theater. A highlight of the day is a guided tour of the of the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, which stands where Russia's great emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded. After a drive along the Summer Garden and crossing the Neva River you have a chance to see the legendary Cruiser Aurora. Afterward, you visit the Peter and Paul Fortress - a burial place of almost all the Russian emperors and empresses from Peter the Great to Nicholas II and his family. Before returning to your hotel you see some other major sights as the University Embankment, the Mariinsky Theater, and the Alexandrinsky Theatre. Breakfast is included.

Day 12 - Day Trip to Veliky Novgorod

Early in the morning after breakfast you meet your driver who takes you to the train station, where you board a train that takes you to Veliky Novgorod, sometimes called "the Birthplace of Russia". Upon arrival in about 3 hours you are met by your guide and driver. Together you go on a sightseeing tour around the city's main attractions. Veliky Novgorod stands on Volkhov River, the main water way of the famous medieval trade route from the Varangians to the Greeks. The city was Russia's first capital in the 9th century, as well as a center for Orthodox spirituality, Russian democracy, literacy and architecture. The city boasts medieval monuments, churches and monasteries. During the tour you see the city's main attractions including the Kremlin, the Cathedral of St. Sophia, Yaroslav's Court, the St. George's Monastery, and visit the Wooden Architecture Museum. After lunch in a local restaurant you return to the train station for your transfer back to St. Petersburg. Your driver meets you upon arrival and takes you to your hotel for overnight. Day 13 - Departure from St. Petersburg

This is the final day of your amazing tour of Russia's UNESCO treasures. After breakfast you check out from your hotel and your private driver takes you to the airport for your flight back home.
